Basic Chart Settings

In this chapter, we'll explore the topic of Basic Chart Settings. You will learn how to adjust the appearance of a chart after creating it using customization tools. These settings help make your chart more informative and visually clear.

To open the editing menu, simply double-click on the chart. This will take you to the editor, where you can quickly adjust basic settings.

Resizing Chart Window

Adjusting the chart size helps to fit it properly into your layout.

Drag a corner or edge to increase or decrease the chart window size.

Renaming Labels

Renaming labels provides clearer data representation.

  • Click on the axis label;
  • Enter the new label name.

Downloading Chart

Downloading the chart saves it as a file.

  • Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the chart;
  • Select Download chart and choose the desired format.

Copying Chart

Copying the chart allows you to duplicate it.

  • Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the chart and select Copy chart;
  • Alternatively, press Ctrl + C (Windows) or Cmd + C (Mac) to copy;
  • Navigate to the desired location (on this or another sheet/document);
  • Press Ctrl + V (Windows) or Cmd + V (Mac) to paste.

Removing Chart

Removing the chart deletes it from the sheet.

  • Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the chart and select Delete;
  • Alternatively, simply select the chart and press Delete on your keyboard to remove it.
