Legend, Gridlines and Ticks

The legend helps users understand what each data series on the chart represents. Properly configuring the legend enhances the chart's clarity and visual appeal.

  • Double-click on an existing chart to open the editing panel;
  • Go to the Customize tab → Legend;
  • Adjust the legend settings:
    • Position — Choose the position of the legend (none, top, bottom, left, right, inside chart, or automatic);
    • Legend font — Select the font style for the legend text;
    • Legend font size — Set the font size for the legend;
    • Legend format — Configure the legend’s text format;
    • Text color — Choose a color for the legend text.

Configuring Gridlines and Ticks

Gridlines and Ticks help users visually align data points with the axes, improving the readability of the chart.

  • Double-click on the chart to open the editing panel;
  • Go to the Customize tab → Gridlines and Ticks;
  • Select the axis you want to customize: Horizontal axis or Vertical axis;
  • Configure gridline settings:
    • Major gridlines — Enable or disable major gridlines;
    • Minor gridlines — Add minor gridlines for better detail;
    • Major and minor ticks — Adjust the length and style of ticks along the axes for precise visualization;
    • Major count — Set the number of major gridlines. Increasing the number provides more detail but can make the chart look cluttered.
