Overview

In this course, we have gone through various phases of the iterative design process where we have looked at several methods that we can use in each phase to develop engaging and fun games and experiences.

We have also discussed some theoretical aspects of game design such as various player archetypes and the eight types of fun.

The goal of this course has been to provide you with some knowledge about game design, and methodology that are the industry standards. The most important thing about game design is - however, to actually design games. Practice and the practical know-how are invaluable and one can never become a designer without getting their hands dirty. So I recommend that you start designing your games, make all the bad decisions that you can and do not be afraid of the trial and error process. This is how you become a good game designer- there is no way around it.
