Wireless Networking Standards
Wireless networking standards are essential for facilitating seamless communication between devices without the need for physical connections. Some of the most widely used standards include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G, and Zigbee.
Wi-Fi (802.11 standards) enables high-speed internet access, evolving over time with versions like 802.11n, 802.11ac, and the latest 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), which offers faster speeds and better performance, especially in crowded environments.
Bluetooth supports short-range communication for personal devices, such as headphones, speakers, and smartwatches, allowing quick, low-power data transfers.
Cellular networks, including 4G LTE and 5G, have transformed mobile communication by delivering faster speeds, lower latency, and increased capacity, with 5G supporting emerging technologies like IoT, smart cities, and autonomous vehicles.
Lastly, Zigbee is designed for low-power, short-range communication and is frequently used in smart home systems, creating reliable mesh networks that connect devices like lights, thermostats, and security cameras efficiently.
