Adjusment Layer and Pre-Compose

In today's chapter, we'll explore two basic things that will help you adjust effects for multiple layers at once. Those are Adjustment Layers and Pre-Comps.

Adjustment Layer looks like an ordinary empty layer, but in reality, it applies all the effects added to it to all the layers below.

Pre-Comp is essentially a smaller composition inside your main composition. As your project grows in complexity, pre-composing groups of layers helps keep your main composition cleaner and improves workflow efficiency.

In this chapter, you've learned:

  • How to use Adjustment layers to apply effects to multiple layers;
  • How to Pre-Compose layers to simplify and organize complex projects;
  • How these tools improve workflow and project management.
