What is an operator?

Operators in Python

Speaking about operators in Python, mostly, we can divide them into next groups:

  • Arithmetic operators, which are used for mathematical computations;
  • Assignment operators, which are used for assigning values to variables;
  • Comparison operators, which are used to compare two values/variables and return a boolean value True or False;
  • Logical operators, which are used to check whether an expression is True or False.
