Initiating Play Screen
We need to bring the game to life. Colin needs his school supplies, and the player will control a backpack to catch them as they fall.
In the game, the action starts with a backpack displayed at the bottom of the screen. From the top, various school supplies such as books, pencils, apples, and rulers fall randomly. The player can move the backpack left and right using the arrow keys.
This worked, but a few issues came up during testing:
- The backpack movement felt jumpy, not smooth;
- Catching one item sometimes caused others to pause or glitch;
- Items that reached the bottom stayed stuck instead of disappearing.
To address these issues, we requested a more polished version from Cursor.
This two-step process shows how prompts evolve. Don't be afraid to refine your request when the first version isn't quite right. Each iteration makes the game smoother and more fun.

Can you explain how the smooth movement for the backpack was implemented?
What changes were made to ensure items fall independently and don’t freeze?
How does the game handle items that reach the bottom of the screen?
Awesome!
