Interpreting BI Visualizations
Svep för att visa menyn
Understanding how to interpret business intelligence (BI) visualizations is essential for making informed decisions. Common BI charts include bar charts, line graphs, pie charts, and heatmaps. Each serves a unique purpose and is best suited for different types of business questions.
A bar chart displays data using rectangular bars, making it ideal for comparing quantities across different categories. For instance, you might use a bar chart to compare monthly sales across several product lines. Line graphs show data points connected by straight lines, which is perfect for visualizing trends over time, such as tracking revenue growth quarter by quarter. Pie charts are circular charts divided into slices to represent proportions of a whole, best used to illustrate market share or budget allocations. Heatmaps use color shading to represent values in a matrix, making it easy to spot patterns or concentrations, such as identifying regions with the highest sales or busiest hours in a store.
