Nested Tuples in Python
Much like lists, tuples can also have nested elements.
Take, for instance, data about countries grouped into tuples. The indexing for nested tuples works just like it does for nested lists. That is, the first index points to an item in the main tuple, while the second index targets an item within the nested tuple.
Let's refresh our understanding of indexing with the following example.
123456789# Two-dimensional tuple two_d_countries = (('USA', 9629091, 331002651), ('Canada', 9984670, 37742154), ('Germany', 357114, 83783942), ('Brazil', 8515767, 212559417), ('India', 3166391, 1380004385)) # Get information about India print(two_d_countries[4]) # Get the area of India print(two_d_countries[4][1])
