What You Will Build

Throughout this course, you'll set up a working agent that does real work for you. The goal isn't to build a science project. The goal is to leave with something running that saves you time every week.
You'll have flexibility in what your agent does, but the basic shape is the same.
Your agent will be able to:
- Take a request from you in plain English
- Pull information from at least one of your apps, such as email, calendar, or Drive
- Reach out onto the open web through a browser when it needs to
- Take an action that produces a real artifact, such as an email sent, a document created, a spreadsheet updated, or a notification fired
- Run from your phone, not just your desktop
A few example workflows students often build:
- A morning briefing agent that reads your inbox, checks your calendar, scans the news for topics you care about, and texts you a summary before your first meeting
- A lead research agent that takes a list of names, finds each person's company and recent activity, and drops the results into a spreadsheet
- A travel scout that watches flight prices on a route you care about and tells you when to book
You'll pick your workflow in Section 5. Between now and then, you're learning the building blocks: the tools, the connectors, and the prompting style. That way, when you pick, you can actually pull it off.
One thing worth flagging: I'm not going to show you the finished version of every example up front. Part of the point of this course is to build the instinct for designing your own agents, not copying mine. You'll see plenty along the way, but the version you ship will be yours.
