UI/UX with Figma
UI/UX with Figma
Getting Started
Figma is a cloud-based design and prototyping tool widely used for creating user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) which makes it super easy to collaborate with your team, whether they're designers, developers, or anyone else involved in a project. If you're a designer, you'll find it feels a bit like Adobe Illustrator as it is also a vector-based software, and if you're already familiar with Adobe XD, it'll feel right at home.
Figma is great for designing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for mobile apps and websites. One of the coolest things about it is the real-time collaboration. You and your team can work on the same project together, leave comments, give feedback, or just watch the magic happen live. It's perfect for making teamwork smooth and fun!
What is the difference between UI and UX in Figma?
UI (User Interface) is all about the visual design, the look and feel of a product. In Figma, this involves designing elements like buttons, icons, typography, color schemes, and layout.
While UX (User Experience) focuses on the overall journey of the user — how they interact with the product and how intuitive or satisfying that experience is. It involves structuring content and navigation to make the experience seamless.
In short, UI in Figma is about how things look, while UX is about how things work. Figma provides tools to seamlessly handle both, helping designers build products that are both visually appealing and user-friendly.

Now, Let's see how Figma looks like!
One last thing, when you choose a file from Figma Community, it might give you two options like it did with me. The difference between the two is:
- Use UI Kit in a new file: Figma will use all the assets, icons, and components included in the file with a new project without copying all the frames and pages;
- Make a copy of this file: Figma will make a copy of the whole file including the frames, pages, assets, and everything else.
