In this chapter we'll look at how you can add text and use graphic templates.
Adding Text
- Select the type tool from the toolbar and click on the preview panel to create a text box;
- Type your text and adjust its parameters in the effect controls or properties panel;
- Change the font, size, alignment, and style as needed;
- Modify text appearance using color, background, stroke, or shadow options;
- Position text using the selection tool by dragging it within the preview panel;
- Adjust duration on the timeline to control when the text appears and disappears.
Customizing Text
- Use the properties panel to change text attributes such as bold, italic, all caps, or underline;
- Experiment with tracking and leading for spacing adjustments;
- Align text within the frame for better positioning;
- Enable motion blur when animating text for smoother transitions.
Using Graphic Templates
- Open the graphics templates panel to browse built-in presets;
- Drag and drop a template onto the timeline to apply it;
- Customize template properties such as text, color, and animation;
- Ensure required fonts are installed to avoid missing text issues;
- Use the properties panel to adjust size, position, and animation duration;
- Templates can be stretched on the timeline for longer animations.
Importing Custom Templates
- Download .mogrt files from external sources or create your own in After Effects;
- Add a dedicated folder for templates and import it into Premiere Pro;
- Access imported templates in the graphics templates panel;
- Drag custom templates onto the timeline and modify text or animations;
- Ensure templates are stored in an organized folder for easy access.
Final Adjustments
- Fine-tune text and graphics placement using the alignment tools;
- Apply fade-in or fade-out effects for smooth transitions;
- Review text timing to ensure it aligns with video content;
- Use cross dissolve or animation presets for dynamic effects;
- Save your project and render a preview to check the final look.
Add a simple title to your video, install the MOGRT I showed you, and use it to sign your video.
