Trimming Whitespaces

Trimming whitespaces is especially useful when working with email addresses. For example, if a cell contains " john.doe@example.com ", after applying Trim Whitespace, it will become "john.doe@example.com". This prevents potential errors when sending emails or importing data into other systems.

1. Select the cells or range of cells where you need to remove extra spaces;
2. Go to the Data menu → Data cleanup → Trim Whitespace;
3. Google Sheets will automatically remove all spaces at the beginning and end of the text in selected cells, leaving only single spaces between words.
