Effective engagement and monitoring are crucial for maintaining a strong social media presence. In this challenge, you will set up a stream to monitor brand mentions and competitor activity and then respond to at least three comments or messages. Let's ensure you stay connected with your audience!

Step 1: Set Up Your Monitoring Stream

  1. Go to the Streams tab from your dashboard;
  2. Click New Board and name it Brand Monitoring;
  3. Select your preferred social network (like Twitter or Facebook);
  4. Add the following streams:
    • Mentions: to track any brand mentions;
    • Keyword search: enter relevant brand or product keywords;
    • Competitor activity: track mentions of your competitors.

Step 2: Monitor Brand Mentions and Comments

  1. Check your streams regularly for any brand mentions or keyword matches;
  2. Spot potential customer feedback or questions that require a response.

Step 3: Engage with Your Audience

  1. Click on a mention or comment to view the full message;
  2. Hit Reply and draft a thoughtful, personalized response;
  3. Acknowledge positive feedback with a like or emoji reaction;
  4. Address negative feedback with professionalism and offer support if needed.

Step 4: Track Competitor Mentions

  1. Use your Competitor Activity stream to monitor how audiences are reacting to competitors;
  2. Take note of strategies that are working well for your competitors.
