Impara Initiating Play Screen | Creating a Catching Game Pack the Bag
Build Games with Cursor AI

bookInitiating Play Screen

We need to bring the game to life. Colin needs his school supplies, and the player will control a backpack to catch them as they fall.

In the game, the action starts with a backpack displayed at the bottom of the screen. From the top, various school supplies such as books, pencils, apples, and rulers fall randomly. The player can move the backpack left and right using the arrow keys.

This worked, but a few issues came up during testing:

  • The backpack movement felt jumpy, not smooth;
  • Catching one item sometimes caused others to pause or glitch;
  • Items that reached the bottom stayed stuck instead of disappearing.

To address these issues, we requested a more polished version from Cursor.
