Adding Points and Game Over

Glissez pour afficher le menu

Catching supplies is fun, but it gets even better when items have different roles. Let's add points, lives, and a cheerful game over screen to make the challenge feel more realistic.

The falling items won't all behave the same. Some will be good, some bad, and one especially rare and valuable.

Here's what you will add:

Game over pop-up

  • Triggers when lives reach 0 or after a short timer (30s) runs out;
  • Shows the final score;
  • Has two buttons: "Play Again" and "Back Home".

Prompt in Cursor

Make the falling items more fun by giving them different roles. Use regular school supply emojis (such as books, pencils, apples, and rulers) as items worth +1 point. Add one rare golden item (such as a tasty sandwich) that grants a significant bonus of +5 points. Add one bad item (such as a smelly sock) that should take away 1 life. Show the current score and lives at the top of the screen. When lives reach 0 or after a short timer (30 seconds) runs out, display a cheerful game over pop-up with the results and buttons to play again or return home. Keep everything kid-friendly, colorful, and smooth.
