What Is HTML and Why Use It?
HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. It is the standard language used to create web pages. Every website you visit is built using HTML at its core.
HTML uses special tags to organize and display content such as text, images, and links in your web browser. These tags tell the browser how to show each part of the page.
You use HTML to:
- Structure your content so it is easy to read and navigate;
- Add headings, paragraphs, images, and links to your site;
- Build the foundation for adding styles (with CSS) and interactivity (with JavaScript).
Learning HTML is the first step to building your own websites and understanding how the web works.
