Using Keyboard Shortcuts

Swipe to show menu

Keyboard shortcuts are a valuable tool for beginners learning Excel, as they can significantly improve efficiency and productivity. Here are some essential keyboard shortcuts that you should know when working with Excel:

  • Ctrl + C: copy selected cells or text;
  • Ctrl + X: cut selected cells or text;
  • Ctrl + V: paste copied or cut cells or text;
  • Ctrl + Z: undo the last action;
  • Ctrl + Y: redo the last undone action;
  • Shift + Arrow Keys: select cells in the direction of the arrow keys;
  • Fn + F2: edit entry in the cell;
  • Esc: cancel an entry in the cell or formula bar;
  • Ctrl + Shift + Down Arrow: select the column from the selected cell to the end of the table (same logic for the Up, Left and Right Arrows).

Is it true that Ctrl + V pastes copied cells?

Select the correct answer

I won’t be there to check if you use those shortcuts but, I can not stress enough, the importance of fast command when dealing with documents (Excel, Word, it does not matter).

Get yourself used to using them, and you will thank me later 🙂
