From Evidence to Conclusions

Swipe to show menu

A source is where information comes from. Evidence is the specific information from that source that helps answer a research question.

Saving a full article or report is not enough. Claude should extract only the relevant facts, statistics, examples, and conclusions.

For each piece of evidence, record:

  • the claim or finding;
  • the source it came from;
  • the research question it supports;
  • any important context or limitations.

Evidence should accurately reflect the original source. Claude should not change the meaning, remove important context, or present an opinion as a confirmed fact.

Strong evidence is relevant, specific, traceable, and supported by a reliable source.
