Assume you're trying to actually get good at Excel — not "I can write a basic formula" good, but good enough that your reports don't take three hours. You ask Claude to explain XLOOKUP. Makes sense.

Next day you ask about pivot tables. Also makes sense. But it has no idea you asked about XLOOKUP yesterday and still got the syntax wrong in practice, so it never circles back. It just answers whatever you ask next. Three weeks of that and you've got a pile of decent explanations that don't add up to actually knowing Excel better.
