Initiating Play Screen

You need to bring the game to life. Colin needs his school supplies, and the player will control a backpack to catch them as they fall.
In the game, the action starts with a backpack displayed at the bottom of the screen. From the top, various school supplies such as books, pencils, apples, and rulers fall randomly. The player can move the backpack left and right using the arrow keys.
We are continuing the game "Help Colin". Create the play screen where the player controls a backpack at the bottom of the screen. Represent the backpack with a backpack emoji. From the top, different school supplies should fall, also represented by emojis (such as books, pencils, apples, and rulers). The backpack moves left and right with the arrow keys. Items should spawn randomly and fall smoothly so that a player can catch them with the backpack. When the backpack catches an item, it should disappear. Keep the gameplay simple, playful, and colorful.
This worked, but a few issues came up during testing:
- The backpack movement felt jumpy, not smooth;
- Catching one item sometimes caused others to pause or glitch;
- Items that reached the bottom stayed stuck instead of disappearing.
To address these issues, we requested a more polished version from Cursor.
Improve the play screen. Make the backpack movement smooth and continuous: when I hold left or right, the backpack glides at a steady speed and stops cleanly at the edges, without jumping between fixed spots. Keep arrow keys for desktop and simple touch control on phones. Make sure falling items keep updating independently. Catching one item should never pause or slow the others. When an item is caught, play a quick little "caught" effect and remove only that item. All other items keep falling. If an item reaches the bottom, let it fade out and disappear instead of hanging around. Also, make the play area feel clearer and more fun with a soft bordered "floor" at the bottom and gentle depth (no extra UI, just visuals). Keep everything smooth, playful, and consistent with the home screen.
This two-step process shows how prompts evolve. Don't be afraid to refine your request when the first version isn't quite right. Each iteration makes the game smoother and more fun.
