Organizing a Shopify Launch Folder

Swipe to show menu

For your first real workflow, you will take a messy Google Drive folder full of Shopify launch materials and have the agent clean it up, summarize what is inside, and produce a shareable HTML one-pager.

That means three deliverables from one prompt:

  1. An organized Google Drive folder
  2. A summary of the folder contents
  3. A shareable HTML launch brief

The Scenario

You are a founder planning to launch a Shopify store next month.

For weeks, you have been dropping everything into one Google Drive folder: product research notes, brand inspiration, supplier quotes, draft product descriptions, competitor screenshots, mood boards, a half-finished marketing plan, and customer survey responses.

Now the folder is chaotic. You cannot find what matters, and the launch deadline is getting close.

You have a launch goal next month, and you want the agent to:

  • Organize the folder into clean subfolders by category, such as product research, brand assets, supplier documents, marketing materials, customer research, and competitor screenshots.
  • Summarize each category in a Google Doc with key takeaways and open questions.
  • Generate an HTML one-pager, a brand-style mini brief you could share with a designer, supplier, or potential cofounder.

One prompt. Three artifacts.

Connectors used: Google Drive and Google Docs.

The Prompt Structure

Remember the anatomy from 4.1: goal, constraints, and done condition.

Now build the workflow around that structure.

Note
Prompt

Look through my Google Drive folder called Shopify Launch.

Categorize each file by type. Possible categories include:

  • Product research
  • Brand assets
  • Supplier docs
  • Marketing materials
  • Customer research
  • Competitor screenshots
  • Financial planning
  • Other

Move each file into a subfolder named after its category. Create the subfolders if they do not already exist.

Then create a Google Doc called Shopify Launch Summary. The Doc should include one section per category, with 3-5 bullet points summarizing the key takeaways from the files in that category.

End the Doc with a section called Open Questions, listing anything that seems missing or unresolved.

Finally, generate an HTML one-pager that I could share with a designer or supplier. Use a clean design, place the store concept at the top, and include sections that match the Google Doc summary. Save the HTML file to my working folder.

If you are unsure how to categorize any file, ask me before moving it.

Stop when all three artifacts are complete.

What the Agent Does Under the Hood

The agent will:

  1. Read the file list in your Google Drive folder.
  2. Open each file, or read its preview, to decide which category it belongs to.
  3. Pause and ask you about anything ambiguous.
  4. Create subfolders and move files into the right places.
  5. Ask for approval before making changes, because writing and deleting actions should stay on Requires approval.
  6. Summarize the files in each category.
  7. Write the Google Doc.
  8. Generate the HTML one-pager and save it to your working folder.

Watch the agent's progress during this first multi-step run. If anything looks wrong, pause and redirect it before it continues.

Why This Workflow Matters

This is a real example of what Cowork can do that a chatbot cannot.

A chatbot can write a launch brief only if you paste in the content. Cowork can go into your actual Google Drive, read the materials, organize the folder, and produce multiple deliverables from one prompt.

That is the agent shift in action.

This workflow also sets up the rest of the section. By Chapter 4.5, this organized folder becomes the source of truth for actually launching your store.
